Scientific Network
Saarland University has long lasting experience within the TEMPUS program. Project PROMETHEUS which was coordinated by Saarland University belongs to the success stories of the TEMPUS program (see `Linking the worlds of work and education through Tempus`, European Communities, 2007). This project helped Moldovan Universities to develop entrepreneurial activities and to strengthen their capacity to engage in technology transfer activities.
In the last year within project SEASCAPE with the target countries Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan two offices for entrepreneurial activity support in Tashkent Financial Institute and Andizhan Institute of Economy and Engineering were established aiming to reinforce the links between university, industry and authorities.
The permanent partners of Saarland University are St. Petersburg State electro-technical University (Russia) and University of Alicante (Spain).
